We often note the mistakes of big corporations. Let's give a "rah-rah" as my co-workers say, to ExxonMobil for awarding $5 million to educating women and girls in developing countries. From their press release I recieved from the Philanthropy News Digest they say, "Studies conducted by the World Bank have found that programs to educate women and girls yield a higher rate of return than any other community investment available in the developing world and contribute to imporved sanitation, lower rates of HIV/AIDS infection, and higher household incomes." Rah-Rah!
